Stars on Stage – Awards ceremony for the 5th TAB Austria Awards within the scope of the IGE 2010.

As every year, TAB Austria presented its new developments of the amusement and gaming industry at the IGE. This year, too, the 4-player table FUN4FOUR was of high interest again. The current software update accentuates the continuously growing selection of games even better:

The unique features and games on the FUN4FOUR can be enjoyed in full HD quality. High resolution images and brilliant colours make the players’ hearts swell. Meanwhile, 20 strategy, card, parlour and trivia games as well as features like Internet Browser and Google Maps™ are available. Each month, a new game is provided online for the FUN4FOUR, and thus at the IGE 2010, the new games Black Jack and Black Jack Battle were presented for the first time. The popular card game, which is all about “21”, is one of the most played games worldwide. For the FUN4FOUR, this classic was now adapted in a digital form. Black Jack is pure excitement with a real casino feeling and seamlessly merges into the long list of exciting and diversified games on the FUN4FOUR. A foretaste of the game Liar’s Dice, which is to be published in February, was also available for the visitors of the IGE. .

Clear, simple, well arranged and fresh

This is how the new user interface of the MAX FIRE jukebox presents itself. The design was completely revised and adapted to the needs of the users even better. The current outfit offers more overview, maximum transparency and comfortable operation. The well-structured subdivision enables fast and targeted access to the desired function any time. With the online connection, the MAX FIRE jukebox is always up to date.

A total of 30 new game hits are included in Version 15 of the SILVERBALL terminals. The most popular 30 games and the biggest money-spinners of the SILVERBALL premium games community were combined into one version.

Quite a stir was also caused by the games platform GOLDEN ISLAND, which is available in 5 different cabinets. A total of 4 new games were presented at the IGE and reflect the years of experience of TAB Austria in the development of future-oriented touch-screen terminals in the gaming and betting industry.

The 5th TAB Awards

The TAB Austria Award Show evening in London on Wednesday, 27th January 2010 went off in the traditionally festive atmosphere and in an excellent mood. For the fifth time already, the TAB Austria Awards were presented at the IGE, the exhibition highlight of the industry. An exuberant atmosphere, good food, Austrian wines, especially imported for the event, and great live presentations took the centre stage of this gala evening.

Partners, clients, distributors and the international trade press of the entertainment and casino industry accepted the invitation to the awards ceremony.

The awards were presented in 3 categories, with respectively 3 nominations. Overall prizes of more than EUR 20,000.00 were awarded, subdivided into the following categories:

• Best Technical Performance
• Best Marketing
• Best Over-All Performance

The award for “Best Technical Performance” went to C+P Automatenhandel from Schöftland (CH). Beside SILVERBALL terminals, C+P have also been operating MAX FIRE jukeboxes of TAB Austria for years. With the technical know-how and their knowledge of the market, they now also optimally introduced the FUN4FOUR multigame table in Switzerland.

The award for “Best Marketing” went to the South African Vukani Gaming Corp. In record time, they conquered the market with SILVERBALL and NEVADA terminals, and exhausted and implemented every advantages of online maintenance of TAB Austria.

For years, the MAX FIRE jukebox has been one of the most successful products of TAB Austria. Merkur Gaming, too, recognised the advantages of the online connection as well as the numerous features. With comprehensive market know-how and perfect strategies, Merkur Gaming have now also established the FUN4FOUR multigame table in Germany, and for that received the award for “Best Over-All Performance”.

Following the awards ceremony, SOS Entertainment got standing ovations for their extravagant costumes and their presentation of pop evergreens. A great show, which more than moved the audience. A perfect evening and a successful IGE 2010 for TAB Austria.
